
No. 22 Tulane Bowling Starts Season With 10 Placing In the Top 30 on First Day of the SWIBC

Fort Worth, Texas. – The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling began the season on a strong note with all 10 of the team's bowlers placing in the top-30 on the first day of the SWIBC Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 7, at City View in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Green Wave split the squad into a varsity and a junior varsity grouping in order to allow all 10 bowlers to see action. Tulane's varsity placed third with an overall total of 7,286 pins. The junior varsity ranked second in their grouping with a total of 6,588 pins.
Tulane saw a pair of the bowlers receive All-Tournament honors as Morgan Gitlitz placed fourth overall with a total of 1,040 pins and Mia Stolakis earned fifth with 1,031 pins.
Gitlitz had individual games of 183, 195, 222, 227 and 213 for an average of 208.
Stolakis recorded individual games of 211, 213, 199, 174 and 235 for an overall average of 206.2.
Emma Fetterman placed 13th overall with 952 pins. She had individual games of 158, 175, 238, 202 and 179 for an average of 190.4
Kristen Derr finished 19th with 935 pins. She had individual games of 169, 188, 182, 225, 171 for an average of 187.
Juanelyz Solla placed 21st overall with 929 pins. She had individual games of 187, 209, 145, 194 and 194 for an average of 185.8.
Cassidy Williams earned 22nd place with 927 pins. She had individual games of 213, 187, 179, 195 and 153 for an average of 185.4.
Yarelis Alvarez took 25th place with 894 pins. She had individual games of 184, 213, 157, 173 and 167 for an average of 178.8.
Sofiia Druchyna took 27th with 890 pins. She had individual games with 169, 220, 170, 155 and 176 for an average of 178.
Katharina Mente finished 28th overall with 887 pins. She had individual games of 189, 169, 180, 169 and 180 for a 177.4 average.
Linnea Holcomb placed 29th with 840 pins. She had individual games of 177, 155, 164, 172 and 172 for an average of 168.
The program has seven team games on Sunday with each team drawing starting lane assignments.
