Tulane-Sam Houston Match Canceled by Rain

NEW ORLEANS – Inclement weather forced the Tulane-Sam Houston women's tennis match to be halted halfway through singles play Friday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Center.
The match will go down officially as a cancelation. Both schools will attempt to reschedule at a later date.
The Green Wave won the doubles point via victories at No. 1 by Lahari Yelamanchili and Charlotte Russell (6-1) and No. 2 by Adelaide Lavery and Jiayun Zhu (6-2).
In singles, Yelamanchili won the first set 6-2 at No. 2, as did Russell and Brooke Theis at Nos. 4 and 6, respectively.
Sam Houston's Vianne Schwab captured a 6-1 first-set victory at No. 5.
Tulane will be back in action Sunday at home against South Alabama at 1 p.m.
