TULANE LOOKS TO BUILD OFF STRONG 2022 SEASON
- The Green Wave baseball team enters their 115th year this spring with the mindset of continuing their momentum from the end of the 2022 campaign.
- Tulane finished the year with a 33-26-1 mark and fourth in the AAC.
- Tulane also posted a 20-12-1 record at home. The third straight year of 20+ wins at home. Barring the 2020 shortened season where the wave was 11-1 at home through 17 games.
OPENING WEEKEND SUCCESS
- In the last 10 years, the Green Wave owns a 24-7 (.774) opening weekend record.
- Tulane has swept five out of the last 10 opening weekends.
- In the same time span the Wave is 20-5 at home.
- This will be the first time since 2015 Tulane has opened on the road (Pepperdine).
A NEW THREE-HEADED MONSTER
- Tulane baseball will be in search of 2/3 of its new weekend rotation after the departure of its Saturday and Sunday starters from the 2022 season.
- The ace holds strong in Dylan Carmouche. The first-team All-AAC pick was the only pitcher in the conference to start in every weekend series in the 2022 season.
SCOUTING THE ANTEATERS
- UC Irvine went 32-24 in 2022.
- The Anteaters finished sixth in the Big West and have been projected to finish second in 2023.
