Personal Records Fall for Tulane in Boston

RESULTS
BOSTON, MA – The Tulane track and field teams finished strong Saturday at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational in Boston.
Mackenzie Callahan not only beat her own individual record in women's 1-mile run, her mark of 4:43.34 is now ranked second all-time in program history.
Victoria Robinson and Janae Dean shattered their individual records in the women's 800-meter dash. Robinson ran a 2:09.19 and Dean, with her new PR of 2:09.37, now put the duo's marks second and third all-time in program history. Abby Heck also posted a time of 2:14.98.
For the men's team, Aaron Gilliam finished in eleventh with his 4:04.82 in the men's one mile run, a mark that was a personal-best. In the same event, Bradley Makuvire ran a 4:12.54.
Sophia McNerney and Makuvire both placed in the top 10 in the women's 3000m and men's 3000m, respectively. McNerney placed 10th with her time of 9:45.52 (Tulane's second-fastest time EVER in that event) and, in the same event, Allie Nelson posted a time of 10:13.59. Makuvire finished in ninth with his time of 8:14.21 and Arturs Lapins also put down an 8:28.40.
In the women's 400 meters, Kristen O'Handley and Alexis Esteves each beat their personal record with times of 56:29 and 59:40, respectively. In the same event, Margot Temines also ran 58:19 and Patricija Ozolina recorded a 1:01.51.
O'Handley, Robinson, Dean, and Esteves brought home ninth place in the women's 1600 relay with their combined time of 3:49.16.
Laura Fodor finished in eleventh place on the women's 500 run with a time of 1:17.32.
Kaia Todd placed seventeenth in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.82.
Macy Turcotte posted a time of 3:02.22 (18th) in the 1,000 meters and came back with a time of 5:05.87 in the mile.
Temines (26:12), Esteves (26:53), and Todd (27:47) raced in the women's 200-meter dash.
Roman Schrader (1:54.20), Jalen St. Fort (1:54.98) and Bethwel Tum (1:58.01) competed in the men's 800 meters.
Tulane is back in action Friday and Saturday at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
