Tulane Men Suffer Road Loss at #34 San Diego

SAN DIEGO – The 35th-ranked Tulane men's tennis team went on the road Sunday and faced #34 San Diego but fell 4-0 to the host Toreros.
The Green Wave won at No. 1 doubles, courtesy of Benji Jacobson and Charlie Barry, 7-2 in the tiebreaker, but it was the home team who took the point via wins at Nos. 2 and 3.
The Toreros picked up the three singles victories necessary to clinch the overall team win by virtue of victories at Nos. 4, 5 and 6. The top three matches went unfinished.
The team is back on the road next week as well, with 11 a.m. matches at #55 Tulsa on Friday and #31 Oklahoma State on Sunday.
