Tulane Sits in a Tie For Eighth After Round One in Maui

MAUI, HI – Tulane finished round one of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in a tie for eighth place at four-over par.

No. 41 Denver leads the field with a team card 13-under par.

Carla Bernat leads Tulane having shot three-under par after starting on hole 13 of Monday morning's shotgun start. The sophomore is in sixth place.

Sandra Vazquez is in a tie for 14th with a first-round card of one-under par. Tulane's third Spaniard Carlota Palacios shot 2-over.

Rounding out the Wave's team score was Cleo Liu who finished round one six-over par.

Miriam Emmert finished eight-over par, not currently counting for the Tulane team score.

Sophomore Matilde Innocenti is competing as an individual in the tournament and carded a season-best round of three-under.
