Tulane Moves Into Fourth After Stellar Rounds from Bernat, Vazquez and Emmert

MAUI, HI – A career day from Carla Bernat and under-par rounds for Sandra Vazquez and Miriam Emmert pushed Tulane into fourth place on the second day of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic.

Tulane finished with a team card of 9-under on the day to bring them to a total of 5-under in the tournament. The team sits behind No. 30 UCLA, No. 25 Pepperdine and No. 41 Denver who are 15-under par.

Bernat tied her career low round score with a 65 this afternoon. The sophomore accumulated six birdies and eagled on her final hole of the day. The Castellon, Spain native looks to fight for another individual title as she currently holds onto second place at 10-under, a stroke out of first.

Vazquez put herself in a tie for 13th after the second round with a card 2-under par. The senior also eagled on her final hole of the day, helping the team score.

Miriam Emmert played most of the second round at par after starting on the ninth hole. The junior birdied three of her final five holes of the day to finish 2-under par.

Carlota Palacios rounded out the Tulane scorecard with a total tournament card of 7-over par.
