Bernat Leads Field at Trinity Forest Invitational

DALLAS – The Tulane golf team sits in a tie for fifth place after totaling a card 1-under through the first two rounds.
The Wave got off to a slow start in round one before climbing the leaderboard with a team card 6-under in the second round. SMU leads the field at 12-under while Houston sits in second 5-under.
Carla Bernat leads Tulane and the field with her total card 7-under par. The sophomore shot a 70 in round one before rallying for a 5-under performance in the last 18 holes of the day. The Spain native drained two eagles and nine birdies on the day.
Sandra Vazquez moved herself in to 14th after shooting 4-under in the second round of play. Her total card through two rounds is 1-under par heading into Tuesday.
Matilde Innocenti sits in a tie for 36th with a card 3-over, Cleo Liu is 44th at 4-over and Miriam Emmert rounds out the Tulane scorecard at 8-over.
The final round tees off shogun style Tuesday at 8 a.m.
