Tigers Earn 4-1 Victory over Host Tulane on Monday

NEW ORLEANS – The 45th-ranked LSU men's tennis team took the doubles point and the overall team victory by a 4-1 score over #39 Tulane Monday afternoon at City Park Tennis Center.
The Tigers won the top two doubles matches by 6-3 scores. The visitors also picked up victories in singles at Nos. 5 and 6, while the clincher came at No. 2 when Nick Watson triumphed over Tulane's Luka Petrovic 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
In singles, the Green Wave's Billy Suarez knocked off Chen Dong 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 to register the lone point for the home team.
Luc Hoeijmans led Welsh Hotard 7-6 (1), 5-3 when the action was stopped at No. 4 and Fynn Kuenkler was knotted at 5-all in the third set against Ronald Hohmann in the No. 1 match.
The Green Wave's regular season finale comes Saturday when #35 Memphis pays a visit for a 1 p.m. tilt in what will be Senior Day for Tulane's program.
