Tulane Adds St. Johns Transfer Kolby King
Apr 18, 2023 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University men's basketball program announced the newest addition to its roster, as Head Coach Ron Hunter shared the signing of Kolby King who will play for the Green Wave this fall.
"Kolby is a guy that will be counted on right away," Hunter said. "His ability to be a primary ball handler and a high-level defender is something that we are really looking forward to. He is also as tough as the come and an incredible person. We are lucky to have him."
The 6'2 guard spent last season at Saint John's University where he saw action in 26 games for the Red Storm. King averaged 7.7 minutes per game last season with his best performance coming in the final game of the year when he scored a season-high eight points in 18 minutes in the Big East Tournament against No. 6 Marquette.
Prior to St. John's, the Pompano Beach, Florida, product was a three-star recruit from Pembroke Pines Charter where he led his team to the 2021 Class 5A State Championship.
