
Tulane Finishes Eighth in Women’s Team Race Championship

STANFORD, Calif. – After the first round of racing in the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship the Tulane University Sailing women's team landed tied for eighth out of 12 teams on Saturday. The championship regatta is hosted by Stanford University on Redwood Creek.
The Green Wave finished the opening round of racing with a 3-8 record to land in a tie for eighth overall with Harvard. Tulane was led on the water by skippers Ciara Rodriguez-Horan, Mia Hanes, and Caroline Benson with crews Andrea Riefkohl-Gonzalez, Ellie Spearman, Abigail Borggaard, Lucy Spearman, Essie Clifton, Megan Cassidy, Lydia Brown, and Catherine Anderson. In the first round the Wave earned wins over Dartmouth, Harvard, and Michigan.
Racing will continue Sunday morning for the final rounds of the ICSA Women's National Championship at the Stanford University Sailing and Rowing Boathouse.
