
Bernat Named Second Team All-American By Women's College Golf Association

NEW ORLEANS – The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2022-23 1st Team, 2nd Team and Honorable Mention Division I All-American Teams. A total of 50 student-athletes were selected for the prestigious recognition.
Tulane's Carla Bernat was named Second Team All-American making her Tulane's first All-American selection since 2013 when Maribel Lopez Porras earned the honor.
Bernat posted a 70.65 average score across 11 tournaments this far this season in advance of the NCAA Regionals. Bernat was the conference player of the month for October 2022 and captured player of the week honors in The American on March 21.
Bernat took home a pair of first-place medals in the month of October, shooting a combined 11-under par in three tournaments. At the Florida State Match-Up on March 17-19, Bernat shot a 214 (-13) and was one of just four golfers to finish under par as she bested four other Golf Stat Top 100 ranked players. She finishes the season as the highest ranked Tulane women's golfer in the history of the program.
The Castellon, Spain native was most recently selected to compete for Team International in the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup which will take place June 8th through the tenth.
