Rebollo Named AAC Women’s Athlete of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – After winning her first meet as member of the Tulane University cross country team junior Gemma Rebollo was selected as the American Athletic Conference Women's Athlete of the Week.

Rebollo ran a 13:42.97 at the UNO XC Opener to claim the individual title at the meet and help the Green Wave start the 2023 season with a victory as a team. Tulane ultimately won the women's title by four points finishing ahead of LSU.

The Tulane men also finished first in the season opener on Friday posting a team score of 20 which was 27 points better than UNO in second place.

Up next, the Green Wave will return to action Friday, September 15, for the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Alabama.
