Green Wave Wraps Up Competition in Houston, Birmingham

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's Luka Petrovic and Luc Hoeijmans represented the program on Sunday at the American Athletic Conference Fall Championships in Houston.
The duo fought valiantly in the doubles championship final as top-seeded Vasco Prata and Matias Iturbe of Charlotte edged the third-seeded Olive and Blue 6-7 (5), 6-2, (10-6) in a seesaw affair. In the tiebreaker, the 49ers jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but Tulane battled back to tie it at 6-all at the second changeover. Charlotte then captured the final four points to grab the title.
Hoeijmans then battled Rice's Arthus de la Bassetiere in the singles backdraw championship with the latter emerging with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 victory.
Tulane also finished play at the BCC Invitational on Sunday. Steven Rice and Vincent Vohl each tallied singles victories, while Asaf Friedler and Charlie Burdell notched a doubles win. Those results are below.
