Volleyball Sweeps UTSA

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane volleyball shut out the University of Texas San Antonio tonight, doing so for the second time this season and bringing its conference record to 6-5. The Green Wave last swept the Roadrunners on the road on Oct. 9 and beat them tonight 25-19, 25-18, and 25-19.
Agata Beksha had a historical game, as she achieved her career-high kills in a match at 14. She led the Green Wave in kills, followed by Ava Derbes with 12, and hit .618. Beksha also provided 10 digs and an ace. Derbes hit .393 and also put up two block assists.
Sabrina Skyers hit .400 from seven kills along with three block assists. Avery Burks had 25 receptions to lead the Wave tonight and had eight kills.
Zoe Rachow gave 26 assists, bringing her career total to 897. Katherine Crosley lifted 17 and had a team-high 10 digs.

The Green Wave will be back in the Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse on Nov. 3 to host Charlotte at 12:00 p.m.
