Women’s Basketball Set to Face No. 7 LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Tulane women's basketball team heads to Baton Rouge on Wednesday to take on the No. 7 LSU Tigers at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CT, with live streaming on the SEC Network. Fans can also catch live radio coverage on the Tulane Sports Network via WBRH 88.3 FM, the Tulane Athletics App, or The Varsity Network App. Play-by-play commentary will be provided by Paul Boron.
LSU holds a 32-8 advantage in the all-time series against Tulane. The Tigers claimed the most recent matchup in New Orleans on December 4, 2022, with an 85-72 victory. Tulane's last triumph came in a 56-54 win on November 15, 2018, in Baton Rouge. The Green Wave's largest win in the series was a 57-50 victory in 1995.
Tulane is coming off its first win of the season, an 89-65 victory over Grambling State. Amira Mabry led with 19 points on perfect shooting, while Sherese Pittman and Victoria Keenan added 18 each. The Green Wave forced 31 turnovers and dominated the paint with 44 points, holding a lead from start to finish in a strong bounce-back performance.
No. 7 LSU is 5-0, most recently defeating Troy 98-59. The Tigers average 95.3 points on 53.7% shooting, with 51.8 rebounds per game. Defensively, they allow just 46.0 points while forcing turnovers with a +6.5 margin.
Following its matchup at LSU, the Green Wave will return to Uptown to host Jackson State on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CT.
