
Green Wave Prepares to Face Florida and Northern Arizona in St. Pete Showcase

TAMPA, Fla. - The Tulane women's basketball team arrived in Tampa earlier this week to compete in the St. Pete Showcase. The Green Wave will face the Florida Gators on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, at 12:00 p.m. CT, followed by a matchup against Northern Arizona on Saturday, Nov. 30, also at 12:00 p.m. CT.
Originally scheduled to take place at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, the showcase has been relocated to Tampa Preparatory School.
Live streaming of the games will be available on BallerTV. Fans can also tune in to live radio coverage on the Tulane Sports Network through WBRH 88.3 FM, the Tulane Athletics App, or The Varsity Network App. Play-by-play commentary will be provided by Paul Boron.
This past Sunday, Tulane women's basketball earned a 77-37 win over Jackson State, improving to 2-3 on the season. Kyren Whittington led with 22 points, while Kendall Sneed posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Sneed was named American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, and Whittington earned Honorable Mention.Â
Florida women's basketball is off to a 3-2 start this season, with their most recent game a 98-74 loss to Florida State.Â
The Gators average 87.0 points on 50.3% shooting, with 36.7% from three, and 40.8 rebounds while limiting opponents to 36.0. Defensively, they record 9.0 steals and 5.0 blocks per game. Liv McGill leads with 19.0 points and 6.8 assists.
Northern Arizona women's basketball is off to a strong 5-1 start, most recently grabbing an 84-80 road win over Colorado State.Â
The Lumberjacks average 82.7 points per game on 42.6% shooting, with Sophie Glancey leading the team at 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. They excel in ball movement, averaging 19.5 assists, with a +7.8 scoring margin.
