
Green Wave Opens Regular Season Against Louisiana Christian Monday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball will begin the 2024-25 regular season Monday night, November 4, inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse as the Green Wave welcomes Louisiana Christian to Uptown. The Wave enters the matchup with the Wildcats with a 5-0 record in season-openers under Head Coach Run Hunter.

The game between the Green Wave and the Wildcats is set to tipoff at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the action live on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield on 106.1 The Ticket and Heaven 106.7 with the voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor or streaming on the Tulane Athletics App and The Varsity Network App.

This marks the 25th all-time regular season meeting between Tulane and Louisiana Christian with the Green Wave leading the series 19-5. The last time the Wave faced the Wildcats came in an exhibition game before the 2021-22 regular season and Tulane won the contest 64-56. The Green Wave is 18-3 overall against Louisiana Christian at home in regular season matchups.

The Green Wave is 11-1 against teams from Louisiana under Head Coach Ron Hunter including wins in its last six. Tulane went a perfect 4-0 last season defeating Nicholls, Northwestern State, Southern, and Dillard by an average of 20.3 points.

In Tulane's lone exhibition game during the preseason, the Wave rolled past Spring Hill College 86-66 on October 25. Junior Gregg Glenn III paced the Green Wave with a team-high 20 points and eight rebounds. Three more players finished in double figures against the Badgers as Mari Jordan tallied 18, Rowan Brumbaugh poured in 11, and Asher Woods added 10.

Louisiana Christian is coming off a 91-67 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in an exhibition game on October 30. The Wildcats enter the 2024-25 season after posting a 5-24 record last season including a 10-game losing streak to end the year.

Following the matchup against Louisiana Christian, the Green Wave will host another in-state foe as Louisiana-Monroe visits Uptown on Friday, November 8. The showdown between Tulane and the Warhawks is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
