Volleyball Falls in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Tulane Volleyball took on Temple University tonight for the first time this season for their first match of a split location weekend. The Green Wave fell in three to the Owls 25-23, 25-15, and 27-25.
Avery Burks led the team in kills once again, hitting .308, while Sami Jacobs followed up with 9. Jacobs led in receptions, with 27, while Burks followed with 22.
Jacobs added two aces to her season total, bringing her to 36 and second place in the AAC for total aces.
Ilayda Demirtas had an incredible game, landing a season-high nine kills and hitting .750.
Zoe Rachow added 22 assists to her career total, now at 943. Sabrina Skyers put up two solo blocks and is now at 16 for the season.
