
Tulane Hosts 2024 Holiday Tournament

NEW ORLEANS — The Tulane women's basketball team will host the 2024 Tulane Holiday Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. The tournament kicks off Friday with ULM (3-6) taking on Central Arkansas (6-2) at 12:00 p.m. CT, followed by Tulane (5-4) facing Alabama A&M (6-3) at 2:30 p.m. CT.
Saturday's matchups will be determined by Friday's results, with games scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. CT.
Fans can watch the Tulane games live on ESPN+ and listen to the broadcast on the Tulane Sports Network via WRBH 88.3 FM, the Tulane Athletics App, or The Varsity Network App. Paul Boron will provide play-by-play commentary.
In its last game, the Olive and Blue defeated Mercer 73-46 at home. Amira Mabry led with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Kyren Whittington added 12 points. Victoria Keenan contributed eight points and five rebounds, and Sherese Pittman grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. Tulane shot 48.1% from the field and 46.7% from three, while holding Mercer to just 29.3% shooting.Â
Alabama A&M comes into the tournament after a 80-77 win over North Alabama on December 17. Kaila Walker led the way with 30 points, including 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Darian Burgin added 15 points and 4 rebounds. Despite struggling from three-point range, the Bulldogs made 23 of 33 free-throw attempts and turned things around in the second half to secure the win.
