IRVING, Tx. - Tulane's Kendall Sneed has been named the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Freshman of the Week for the second straight week, covering the week of Nov. 25 to Dec. 1, the league announced this afternoon.
Sneed shined in Tulane's 83-81 win over Florida on Thanksgiving Day, earning her second straight double-double with 22 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds.
She is the only freshman in the nation this season with multiple 15-point double-doubles and joins Caitlin Clark and Shoni Schimmel as the only freshmen since 2002 to record 22 points, 11 assists, one block, and one steal in a game. Sneed is also the only Tulane freshman besides her head coach, Ashley Langford, to record a double-double with assists.
Tulane begins a four-game homestand in Uptown on Tuesday, Dec. 10, with a matchup against North Dakota State at 4:00 p.m. CT.
