Wave’s 200 Free Relay Shines on Friday at AAC Championships

DALLAS – Tulane's 200 Free Relay team was fast on Friday evening at the American Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships.
The quartet of Victoria Raymond, Grace Dale, Olcaytu Hatipoglu and Riley Hendrix completed the race in a fourth-place time of 1:32.43, a time that now stands fourth in the school's all-time records. The performance also qualified for the National Invitational Championship.
Individually, Sydney Mullin swam the 500 Free in 4:54.78, a season-best time that also serves as a NIC bonus cut.
The Green Wave also had some fast swims in the morning. Dale's 50 Free time of 23.47 seconds was the 10th-fastest in school history. In that same event, Hatipoglu's 23.62 was a lifetime-best.
Paula Gaya Bisquerra swam the 200 IM in 2:08.39, good for another lifetime-best. In that same event, Emma Brady set a college-best with a mark of 2:09.21.
On the diving front, Katie Lipsey made the A Final on the 3-meter board, while Taylor Cekay's score of 211.85 was her best in the Olive and Blue.
As a team, Tulane sits in seventh overall with 117 points.
