
No. 12 Bowling Goes 3-2 on the Second Day of the Stallings Invitational

Greensboro, North Carolina –  The No. 12 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team had a steady second day with a 3-2 overall record on Saturday at the Triad Lanes in Greensboro, North Carolina at the Stallings Invitational. The team totaled 4770 pins on the second day. The team currently resides in seventh place with 9639 pins.
The program started the day with a 1078-1051 loss to Vanderbilt. The team then defeated Belmont Abbey 921-865 in the second match. The third match was 904-793 victory over Norfolk State. The team fell to Sam Houston State by a 1002-955 score in the fourth match. The fifth match was a 939-898 victory over Howard.
Mia Stolakis led the team with 999 pins. She had individual games of 203,204, 204, 247 and 141.
Morgan Gitlitz was second with her 985. She had individual games of 213, 198, 208, 176 and 190.
Kristen Derr was third on the squad with her 978. She had individual games of 252, 162, 163, 179 and 222.
Katharina Mente placed fourth on the squad with a 514. She had individual games of 213, 198, 208, 176 and 190.
Yarelis Alvarez placed fifth on the team with her 417. She had individual games of 209 and 208.
Emma Fetterman ranked sixth on the team with her 379. She had individual games of 212 and 167.
Juanelyz Solla placed seventh on the squad with her 320. She had individual games of 176 and 144.
Cassidy Williams was eighth on the club with her 178.
On the third day and final day, teams will compete in three rounds of match play in a playoff bracket starting at 7:25 a.m. Each of the rounds in match play will be a best-of-seven baker match.
