
Tulane Sailing Releases 2024 Spring Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – After a successful fall campaign with another national title for the program's trophy case, the Tulane University Sailing team is ready for the spring season with its schedule officially set. The Green Wave will compete in 14 different regattas, including one home regatta, leading up to the ICSA National Championships.
The spring slate will open March 2-3 with the Wave racing in two events. Tulane will host the Garner Tullis Team Race on Lake Pontchartrain and also send a crew to compete in the Phoebe Corckran King Team Race hosted by College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.
Following the first weekend of the spring, the Green Wave will hit the road for a pair of regattas at Georgetown and Navy on March 9-10. The Wave coed squad will race in the John Jackson Team Race in Washington while the women's crew will compete in the Navy Women's Team Race in Annapolis, Maryland.
Up next Tulane will return to the northeast for the Graham Hall Team Race and the St. Mary's Women's Fleet Race on March 16-17. Navy will host the Graham Hall Team Race in Annapolis Maryland and St. Mary's College will hold the St. Mary's Women's Fleet Race in St. Mary's City, Maryland.
On March 23-24 the Green Wave will compete in the Duplin Women's Team Race hosted by Harvard in Boston and the Szambecki Team Race held by Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia.
To wrap up the month of northeast travel in March the Wave will take part in regattas hosted by Brown and MIT on March 30-31. Tulane will compete in the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race in Providence, Rhode Island, and the Marchiando Team Race in Boston.
Tulane will aim to win its fourth consecutive conference title on April 5-7 when it takes to the water in Austin, Texas, for the SEISA Conference Championships hosted by Texas.
At the same time as the conference championships the Wave will also be on the water in New Haven, Connecticut, for the Yale Women's Team Race on April 6-7.
In the final weekend of the regular season Tulane will make its way back to the northeast for two more regattas on April 13-14. The Green Wave will compete in the Thompson Trophy Team Race hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, and the Oberg Trophy Fleet Race hosted by MIT in Boston.
The ICSA Team Race and Fleet Race National Championships will be hosted in Boston this spring. The ICSA Team Race National Championships will be held from April 25-29. In May the season will come to a close with the ICSA Fleet Race National Championships from May 20-27.
