
Tulane Falls in a Heartbreaker to UNC Wilmington

NEW ORLEANS- The Green Wave men's tennis team (0-5) was defeated by the Seahawks of UNC Wilmington (2-2) in a close 4-3 match.
Tulane started the match strong after securing the doubles point. The court two pair that consisted of Billy Suarez and Benji Jacobson defeated UNCW's Gabriel Hurtado and Bekhzod Rasmatov, 6-2. On court three, Sam Scherer and Luka Petrovic secured the doubles point by taking down Jordi Domenech and Jonathan Baron, 6-2.
In singles, Suarez and Bancila shined from court one and two. Suarez defeated the Seahawks's Harold Hunes in a dominant 6-1, 6-3 win. Bancila, after fighting back from a set one loss, defeated Bekhzod Rasamatov (3-6, 6-4, 6-4).
The Green Wave will have a break before they are back in action on February 21st against Oklahoma State at City Park Tennis Center.
