
Green Wave Visits Florida Atlantic Saturday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Tulane University men's basketball (13-14, 4-11) will look to snap a five-game losing streak as it squares off against Florida Atlantic (21-7, 11-4) for a Saturday showdown in the Sunshine State. The Green Wave has not lost five consecutive games since the 2019-20 season.

The game between the Green Wave and the Owls is set to tipoff at 11 a.m. on ESPNU. Fans can also listen to the action live on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield on 104.1 The Spot with the Voice of the Green Wave Corey Gloor or streaming on the Tulane Athletics App and The Varsity Network App.

This marks the seventh all-time meeting between the Green Wave and the Owls with Tulane leading in the series 5-1. Tulane lost the first matchup this season in heartbreaking fashion 85-84 in New Orleans on January 11. The Wave is unbeaten in Boca Raton, Florida, against the Owls in two trips. The last time Tulane visited Florida Atlantic the Green Wave won 79-64 on Feb. 20,1996. Tulane's last win over the Owls came in New Orleans 72-64 on Feb. 26, 2014.

In its last time out, Tulane lost its fifth straight game as it dropped to North Texas 80-76 at home on Wednesday. The loss marked the first time the Green Wave has lost five games in a row since the 2019-20 season. It was also the first time Tulane has lost three straight games at home since losing five-straight during the 2020-21 campaign. Kevin Cross, Collin Holloway, and Sion James each tallied 17 points to lead the Wave.

Florida Atlantic enters the matchup 21-7 overall record an 11-4 mark in league play after dropping their last game 78-74 at Memphis on February 25. The Owls are riding a 10-game winning streak at home and hold an 11-1 mark at Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena including a perfect 7-0 record in conference play.

The Owls lead the American Athletic Conference and rank 15th in the nation in scoring averaging 83.0 points per game. Three players average double figures in scoring for Florida Atlantic led by Johnell Davis with 18.3 points per game which ranks fourth in the league.

Following the game at Florida Atlantic, the Green Wave will return to the Sunshine State to play No. 25 South Florida on Tuesday, March 5. The game between Tulane and the Bulls is set to tipoff at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
