
Cross Named All-District by NABC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tulane men's basketball senior forward Kevin Cross was named Second Team All-District 24 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Tuesday. This is the second season in a row Cross has earned all-district honors from the NABC.
The Little Rock, Arkansas, native led the Green Wave in scoring, rebounding, and assists this season. Cross finished the year averaging 17.8 points, 7.2 boards, and 4.59 assists in 29 games including starts in all 29 for Tulane. He ranked in the top 10 in the American Athletic Conference in scoring, rebounding, assists, field goal percentage, and free throw percentages.
Cross tallied 25 games with double figures in scoring including 13 with at least 20 points. He also recorded his career-high in scoring on Senior Night pouring in 31 points to lead the Green Wave to an 85-75 win over Wichita State to end the regular season.
The forward ended his senior campaign with three double-doubles and a pair of triple-doubles. His two triple-doubles came in back-to-back games marking the first time a Tulane player has ever recorded a triple-double in consecutive games. Cross registered 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in a win over Furman and then followed that performance with 20 points, 11 assists, and 10 boards in a win against Southern. The back-to-back triple-double performances by Cross earned him the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week and AAC Player of the Week.
Cross finished his Tulane career ranked in the top 10 in points, rebounds, assists, free throws made, assist-to-turnover ratio, games started, and 20-point games. He recorded 1,517 points, 717 rebounds, 394 assists, 387 free throws made, a 1.48 assist-to-turnover ratio, 108 starts, and 24 games with at least 20 points.
