
No. 8 Seed Bowling Falls To No. 1 Seed Jacksonville State 2-0 in the Second Round of the CUSA Championships

Harahan, Louisiana. – The No. 8 seed Tulane University bowling team fell 2-0 to No. 1 seed Jacksonville State in Round 2 of the CUSA Bowling Championships on Friday at Colonial Lanes. The program will take on either Louisiana Tech or Vanderbilt in an elimination match this afternoon at 2 p.m.
The program started the day falling to the Gamecocks 1023-934 in traditional play.
The team put up a strong fight in earning individual victories in game two and four of the baker, but ultimately lost to Jacksonville State 1079-1010 in the combined score. The individual game scores were 268-181 (L), 190-184 (W), 235-200 (L), 226-177 (W) and 215-213 (L)
The loss to Jacksonville State puts Tulane in the Contender's side of the bracket against the loser of No. 4 seed Vanderbilt and No. 5 seed Louisiana Tech in Round Three and the sixth match in lanes 19-20 at 2 p.m. in an elimination contest.
