
Green Wave Drops Regular Season Finale at Middle Tennessee

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Tulane University men's tennis (7-14) closed the regular season with a 5-2 loss at No. 36 Middle Tennessee (17-9) Sunday afternoon. The Green Wave finish the regular season on a two-match losing streak to end at 7-14 overall.
The Wave faced an early deficit after the Blue Raiders claimed the doubles points by winning on all three courts.
Middle Tennessee extended its advantage to 3-0 in singles action by taking the points on court six and court one. Alex Bancila battled to put the Green Wave on the board from court three winning in two sets to make it 3-1. However, the Blue Raiders would secure the next two points at courts five and two to win the match. Fynn Kuenkler managed to put another point on the board for Tulane with a three-set win at court four to make the final score 5-2 in favor of Middle Tennessee.
Up next, Tulane will head to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the American Athletic Conference Championship from April 18-21.
