Green Wave in 10th Entering Final Round at AAC Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Tulane University women's golf dropped one spot in the standings following the second round of the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championship on Tuesday. The Green Wave shot a team total 306 (+18) in the second round to move to +27 overall in the tournament.

Freshman Julia Sanchez Morales posted the best performance for the Wave on day two at the Southern Hills Golf Club. She finished the day shooting a 74 (+2) with three birdies in the second round to move her into a tie for 27th overall in the tournament at +5.

Despite carding a team-high four birdies in the second round Miriam Emmert ended the day with a 77 (+5) on her card. Her second-round performance moves her to +5 overall in the tournament which is also tied for 27th in the field.

After shooting one under on the back nine Matilde Innocenti closed the day at +6 overall to move her into a tie for 42nd overall at +8 through two rounds.

Rounding out the group for Tulane were Ruhee Pandit who shot a 77 (+5) in the second round and Cleo Liu who carded a 79 (+7) on Tuesday. Pandit moved up three spots in the overall standings to hold 50th on her own at +10 overall in the tournament. Liu, who remains one of two players for the Wave under par on the par fives, now sits tied for 51st with a two-round score of +11.

Tulane will be back in action Wednesday morning for the final round of the AAC Championship. The Green Wave will start teeing off at 7 a.m. CT. Coverage on ESPN+ will begin at 10 a.m. ET with Lincoln Rose and Ed Clements on the call.
