
Tulane Finishes 10th at AAC Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. – Tulane University women's golf finished 10th out of 12 teams in the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championship to close its spring season on Wednesday. The Green Wave posted a team total 300 (+12) in the third and final round to end the tournament with a three-round score of 903 (+39).
Freshman Julia Sanchez Morales improved each day of the tournament recording her best round on Wednesday with an even par 72. She ended the AAC Championship tied for 23rd overall with a three-round total of 221 (+5). Sanchez Morales finished second on the team with 10 birdies in the tournament including a tie for the team-best on Wednesday with four.
The biggest mover on the final day for the Green Wave was Matilde Innocenti who climbed nine spots on the leaderboard by shooting a 73 (+1) on Wednesday. She ultimately landed in a tie for 33rd overall carding a tournament total of 225 (+9). The junior led Tulane on the par threes finishing one under par on four par three holes.
Next up on the leaderboard for the Wave was senior Miriam Emmert who finished tied for 43rd at 228 (+12) after carding a 79 (+7) in the final round. She led Tulane in birdies finishing with 11 in the tournament including five in the first round on Monday.
Ruhee Pandit was the most consistent performer for the Green Wave throughout the tournament as she posted a 77 (+5) in all three rounds. She ultimately finished with a total of 231 (+15) to tie for 46th overall. The junior led the Wave in pars with 33 and was one of three on the team to finish under par on the par fives.
Rounding out the group for Tulane was Cleo Liu who landed tied for 52nd overall with a tournament total of 233 (+17) following a 78 (+6) performance in her final round. She recorded a pair of birdies on Wednesday to bring her tournament total to six which ranked fourth for the Green Wave.
