
Track and Field’s Zander Dunbar Wins the 800m on the final day of the AAC Championships

San Antonio, Texas - Zander Dunbar earned the event victory in the 800m to highlight Tulane's track and field program on the final day of the AAC Outdoor Championships. The team totaled four All-Conference performances on Sunday and five over the course of the three days of competition. The women's team totaled 26 points in the competition for 11th place, while the men's team had 27 points to rank 10th.
Dunbar's time in the men's 800m was a 1:50.24 for 10 team points and an All-Conference honor.
Jack Jennings took third in the 5000m with a 14:24.61 for six points and All-Conference honors. Alan Deogracias III earned 12th with a 15:10.20. Paul James Pam placed 14th with his season best time of 15:13.03.
Elena Liano-Rengel finished third in the women's 800m with her time of 2:07.34 for six points and All-Conference honors. Her time was a personal best and ranks her fifth all-time at Tulane in the event.
Danna Diaz placed third overall in the women's 1500m to earn All-AAC honors with her time of 4:28.72 for six team points.
Lily Bell earned three points with a sixth-place finish in the 5000m with her 17:18.53. Paula Vaquera placed 10th with a 17:28.93.
The men's 4x400m relay team of Lee Harris, Zander Dunbar, Jalen St. Fort and Sam Cohen placed seventh with a season best 3:18.70 to earn two points.
Illia Kunin took eighth with a 3:48.08 in the men's 1500m to earn a team point.
Kaia Todd earned ninth in the triple jump with a personal best 12.31m/40'04.75". The jump also placed her ninth all-time at Tulane.
The 4x100m relay team of Tolu Ajayi, Bella Carroll, Paula Ozolina and Robyn Larkan placed 10th with a 47.68.
The women's 4x400m relay team of Bella Carroll, Alexis Esteves, Laura Fodor and Robyn Larkan earned 11th with a season best 3:51.72.
Next the program will send qualifiers to the NCAA East Regionals in Lexington, Kentucky from May 22-25.
