May 14, 2024 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University men's basketball program announced another addition to its 2024-25 roster in transfer Tyler Ringgold. He will join the Green Wave this fall with four years of eligibility remaining.
Ringgold joins the Wave after spending one season as a redshirt freshman at Texas A&M.
Prior to joining the Aggies in College Station, Texas, the 6'7" forward spent his final prep year at Legacy Early College in Greenville, South Carolina. In his lone season at Legacy Early College Ringgold helped the team to a 16-8 record to rank seventh in the state.
Ringgold was a three-star prospect coming out of high school ranking 236th nationally and 47th among power forwards. He was also the second-best player to come out of the state of Louisiana in the 2023 recruiting cycle after playing at Southern University Lab School in Baton Rouge.
During his time at Southern Lab, the versatile forward was named Freshman All-American Honorable Mention in 2020 by MaxPreps. He also helped lead the Kittens to the 2022 Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Division IV championship.
