Tulane Seeded Third at 2024 AAC Tournament

CLEARWATER, FL – The Tulane baseball team will be the third seed at next week's American Athletic Conference Tournament that is set to begin Tuesday at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater.

The Green Wave (31-24 overall) earned the seed with a 15-12 conference record. The team finished in a tie with Wichita State but earned the tiebreaker by virtue of its road series victory in April.

The Olive and Blue will play sixth-seeded Florida Atlantic (26-27, 12-15) in the fourth game of the day on Tuesday, 47 minutes after the completion of the contest between second-seeded UTSA (32-22, 17-10) and seventh-seeded Charlotte (23-32, 12-15). That game is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. ET/4 CT.

Tulane won two of three over the Owls in Boca Raton in April.

The tournament will be played in a double-elimination format through the semifinal round. The championship final is a winner-take-all matchup Sunday, which will determine The American's automatic entrant to the NCAA Championship.

The Green Wave will look to defend its 2023 tournament title, when is stormed through the bracket from the seven seed, defeating ECU 8-6 in the final.
