
Green Wave Sits 18th in ICSA Open Fleet National Championship Finals

BOSTON – Tulane University sailing closed the opening day of the 2024 ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship in 18th place out of the 18 teams in the field on Sunday. The Green Wave finished in the top 10 six times including two in the top four to end with a total of 249 through the first 10 rotations.

The Wave was paced by its B Division team on the first day on the Charles River for the championship final. Tulane posted five of its six top 10 finishes in the B Division including both of the best performances of the day with two fourth place finishes. Hamilton Barclay and CJ Ricci were on the water for all 10 rotations for the Wave recording a total of 109 which ranked 13th in the division.

In the A Division the Green Wave ranked 18th after posting a total of 140 through the first 10 races on Sunday. The combination of Thad Lettsome, Kelly Holthus, Hope Breslin, and Gillian Perrell recorded just one top 10 finish on the day.

The ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship finals will conclude on Monday. Racing is set to begin at approximately 9 a.m. CT and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
