Brumbaugh Named American Player of the Week
Nov 10, 2025 | Men's Basketball
IRVING, Texas – Tulane men's basketball redshirt junior Rowan Brumbaugh was selected as the American Conference Player of the Week following the first week of the regular season, the league announced Monday.
Brumbaugh earned the honor helping lead the Green Wave to its fourth consecutive 2-0 start by averaging 22.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals in wins over Samford and Texas State. He posted 12 points, six boards and five steals in the season-opening win over Samford last Monday before dropping a career-high 33 points, six assists, and four rebounds in a come-from-behind win over Texas State on Saturday.
The Washington, D.C., product also helped Tulane set a program record at the free throw line in the comeback victory over the Bobcats. The Green Wave shot a perfect 30-of-30 from the charity stripe on Saturday to set the program record for free throws made in a game without a miss.
Brumbaugh was a catalyst in the record-setting performance as he registered a team record for the most free throws made in a single game by a player hitting 19-of-19 from the line. The last player to post a perfect shooting performance from the free throw line on at least 10 attempts was Kaleb Banks who shot 14-of-14 against Dillard on December 23, 2024.
The Green Wave will be back in action tomorrow night, November 11, at Louisiana-Lafayette. Tipoff between Tulane and the Ragin's Cajuns is scheduled for 7 p.m. from the Cajundome, with live coverage on ESPN+.
