Green Wave Falls Just Short Against Hokies

BLACKSBURG, VA – The Tulane men's tennis team took the doubles point but couldn't close out the win against host Virginia Tech (8-3) as the Hokies won 4-3 Friday evening at Burrows Burleson Tennis Center.
Luka Petrovic and Alec Gaudin got a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles and Asaf Friedler and Vincent Vohl emerged with a 9-7 tiebreaker win at No. 1 to lock down the doubles point.
Petrovic and Friedler both posted three-set singles wins at Nos. 1 and 4, respectively. Hady Elkordy won his first set at No. 3.
The Green Wave (1-7) is back in action Sunday at Charlotte at 11 a.m. CT.
