Gaudin Comes up Big to Clinch 4-3 Win for Wave

CHARLOTTE – Tulane's Alec Gaudin persevered for a three-set victory at No. 5 singles to lift the visiting Green Wave to a 4-3 win at Charlotte on Sunday.

The Olive and Blue improved to 2-6 overall with the win. Charlotte dipped to 4-5.

Gaudin and Luka Petrovic at No. 2 and Hady Elkordy and AJ Mercer at No. 3 each grabbed 6-4 doubles wins to clinch that point.

Elkordy and Asaf Friedler posted singles wins at Nos. 3 and 4, setting the stage for Gaudin's heroics.

The Green Wave is off until March 7-9 when it takes part in the San Diego Invite.
