Wave Hits San Diego for Ed Collins Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane's men's tennis team will be back in action this weekend as it heads to San Diego for the Ed Collins Invitational Friday through Sunday, March 7-9. The Green Wave will face UC Santa Barbara on Friday at 3:30 p.m. CT at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center.
Other teams competing in the Ed Collins Invitational are San Diego, UC San Diego, Utah, San Diego State, and Texas Tech.
The Green Wave enters the weekend with a 2-6 record on the season following a 4-3 victory at Charlotte on February 16. Meanwhile, the Gauchos are riding a three-match winning streak coming into Friday's match with an 8-2 record.
Sophomore Asaf Friedler paces the Wave in singles play so far this spring with four victories including one in each of the last two matches for Tulane. In doubles action, Friedler also has four wins earning two with Hady El Kordy and one with both AJ Mercer and Vincent Vohl.
Competition for the Green Wave in the Ed Collins Invitational will continue on Saturday and Sunday in San Diego.
