Tulane Falls at #25 South Florida
Mar 21, 2025 | Men's Tennis
TAMPA, Fla. – The Tulane men's tennis team dropped its first match of the weekend in the Sunshine State to No. 25 South Florida 7-0 on Friday at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
With the loss the Green Wave drops to 5-10 overall this season and 1-2 against conference opponents. Meanwhile, the 25th-ranked Bulls improved to 16-3 on the year.
Tulane struggled to get anything going from the start as South Florida claimed the doubles point with victories on court one and two.
Luke Petrovic tried to change the momentum to start singles play winning his first set 7-5 over 48th-ranked singles player Hugo Car. However, that would be the only win the Wave would get in singles as the Bulls ultimately secured the point on all six courts.
The Green Wave will be back in action Sunday for another road matchup at Florida Atlantic. The match between the Wave and the Owls will start at 12 p.m. CT in Boca Raton, Florida.
