SAN DIEGO – Despite taking a 2-0 lead in the match Tulane men's tennis was unable to hold off San Diego State in the consolation bracket of the Ed Collins Classic falling 4-2 on Saturday at the Aztec Tennis Center.
With the loss the Green Wave dropped to 2-8 overall while the Aztecs improved to 6-4 on the season.
The match started in favor of the Wave as Luka Petrovic and AJ Mercer opened competition with a 6-3 win on court three in doubles. Tulane then clinched the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead after Charlie Burdell and Hady El Kordy secured a 7-5 victory on court two.
