
Tulane Wraps Solid Performance at South Florida Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Four athletes record personal bests as Tulane track & field finished competition at the South Florida Invitational this weekend. The Green Wave also notched seven top-10 finishes in the meet including a top-three mark in the men's 100-meter dash.
On Friday, Lee Harris highlighted the day for the Wave as he posted a personal best to finish third in the 100-meter dash crossing the finish line at 10.32. Over in the 400 meters Alexander Montoro also recorded a personal record finishing with a time of 50.53.
The women's events took place on Saturday at the USF Track & Field Stadium and the Wave saw six top-10 finishes and a pair of personal bests.
Ali Saunders kicked off the day for Tulane with a strong start in the javelin. She topped her personal record in the javelin, which she set just last weekend at the Doc Anderson Invitational, as she hit 40.06 meters to finish seventh in the event.
Sofie Groeninger was the next to land in the top 10 for the Green Wave finishing eighth in the shot put hitting 13.19 meters on her best attempt. Jada Johnson followed to wrap up the field events for Tulane with a 10th-place finish in the high jump.
Over in the track events the Wave picked up three more top-10 performances and another personal record. Macy Turcotte recorded her personal best in the 5000 meters crossing the finish line at 17:56.28.
Egbe Ndip-Agbor crossed the finish line in sixth at 23.54 to post her second-straight weekend in the top-10 of the 200 meters. She then joined Bella Carroll, Kaia Todd, and Robyn Larkan to close the day for Tulane in the 4x100 meter relay with an eighth-place finish at 46.83.
Up next, the Wave will travel to the west coast for the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. The meet will be hosted by Azusa Pacific University from April 16-18.
