Green Wave Lands Bids for ICSA Fleet Race National Championships

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University sailing team has earned automatic bids as the SEISA conference champions to the 2025 ICSA Open and Women's Fleet Race National Championships. Both championships will be hosted by St. Mary's College in St. Mary's City, Maryland, with the Women's Championship running from May 20-23 followed by the Open Championship May 27-30.

The Tulane women's team will be the seven seed among 36 teams in the ICSA Women's Fleet Race National Championship. The Green Wave is one of two teams from the SEISA conference to earn a bid to the championship alongside Texas and one of 12 teams to earn an automatic qualifier for the championship. Tulane finished 11th in the ICSA Women's Fleet Race Championship a season ago.

The Green Wave open team landed as the eight seed out of 36 teams in the ICSA Open Fleet Race National Championship. Tulane along with Texas each earned a bid from the SEISA conference and enters the championship as an automatic qualifier. The Wave finished 17th in the ICSA Open Fleet Race Championships last season.
The ICSA Fleet Race Championships will be held at the James P. Muldoon River Center on the waters of the St. Mary's River. Racing for the women's championship is scheduled to run from May 20-23 while open championship will begin on May 27 and run through May 30.
