Burks Named to 2025 American Preseason All-Conference Team

NEW ORLEANS โ Junior Avery Burks has been elected to the 2025 Preseason All-American Conference Team for the second year in a row, having also earned a 2024 nomination.
The outside hitter earned the award after landing 275 kills during the 2024 campaign and averaging 2.67 kills per set. Sheย reached a career-high 27 kills against Rice on September 27 and started 25 games for the Wave.ย
Burks hit 0.185 in 2024 and holds a career average of 0.192. She also achieved 199 digs in 2024 and is on track to reach 500 career digs early this season.ย
The Gilbert, Arizona native was the 2023 American Conference Freshman of the Year โ the first Tulane volleyball player to ever receive the award.ย
Burks also plays Beach Volleyball for the Green Wave and earned a 24-10 winning record during her inaugural 2025 season.ย
Tulane was selected to finish eighth in the conference for the 2025 season.ย
