Tulane Closes Indoor Track and Field Regular Season at LSU Twilight

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Tulane track and field program will conclude the indoor regular season tomorrow with the LSU Twilight at the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse. This will be the final tune up for the Green Wave before next week's American Conference Indoor Championship.
Tulane is one of 10 total programs competing on Friday. Joining the Green Wave in Baton Rouge are Hinds Community College, Dillard, Kentucky, LeTourneau, host LSU, Meridian Community College, Southeast Louisiana, Shelton State Community College, and St. Thomas (Texas).
Action begins in a tight day of competition with the women's weight throw at 9:00 a.m., which will feature Quin Tandeih of the Wave. The only other field event featuring Tulane is the women's shot put at 11:00 a.m. with Sofia Caruso and Alyssa Dismuke in action.
Track events begin at 12:30 p.m. with the women's 60 meter hurdles. Tulane's first running event is the men's 60 meters at 1:00 p.m. with Andrew Bamberg, Jay Bowles, and Christian McQuire in action. Tulane will also compete in the women's 500 meters, women's mile, men's 400 meters, women's 800 meters, men's 200 meters, and women's 3,000 meters.
After tomorrow's slate, the Wave will turn its attention to the American Conference Indoor Championship, held in Birmingham, Alabama. Tulane, the defending women's conference champion, will look to defend its title with the competition taking place on Friday, February 27, and Saturday, February 28.
