Green Wave, Privateers Battle in Crosstown Matchup

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team (2-2) will play its first home match in more than a month when it squares off with UNO on Sunday at 1 p.m. at City Park Tennis Center.
The Privateers (6-0) are off to their best start in five years since they began the 2021 campaign with an 8-0 mark. Four of the team's six wins have been shutouts. The team has played two Division I opponents thus far (a 4-1 win at Jackson State and a 5-0 triumph at Alcorn State).
The Green Wave was last in action nine days ago when Asaf Friedler clinched a thrilling 4-3 decision at UTSA. Tulane's first home match was on January 17 when it knocked off Southern by a 7-0 tally. The doubles tandem of Daniel Phillips and Lance Nisbet comes into the weekend ranked 43rd nationally.
