MOBILE, AL – Host South Alabama outlasted visiting Tulane to win a doubles that took more than an hour en route to a 4-1 victory Saturday afternoon in Mobile.

The Jaguars improved to 8-0 with the win, while the Green Wave fell back to 6-6.

The two teams split the top two doubles matches. Tulane's Campbell Ricci and Summer Chandler picked up a 6-1 win at No. 1 but the home team captured Nos. 2 and 3, the latter in a 7-4 tiebreaker.

Ricci posted the lone Olive and Blue point of the day with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Natalia Fantini came within a game of clinching another point at No. 5, while Natalia Perez won the second set in her unfinished match at No. 3.

The Green Wave will be back in action Saturday at North Texas. Start time against the Mean Green (currently 7-4) is set for noon.Â
