
Tulane Duo Shoots Under Par in Round Two of Paradise Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Francesca Pompa and Gabriella Gilrowski highlighted the second day of play for Tulane women's golf as both players finished the second round two-under par at the Paradise Invitational on Tuesday. As a team the Green Wave dropped three spots in the standings to end the day in 16th with a 36-hole score of 608 (+32).

In round two of the tournament at the Osprey Point Golf Course the Wave duo of Pompa and Gilrowski both climbed the individual standings each shooting a 70 (-2). Pompa moved up 24 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 22nd overall with a 36-hole score of 147 (+3 – 77, 70) while Gilrowski jumped 23 spots into a tie for 45th with a score of 150 (+6 – 80, 70).

During Tuesday's action Pompa recorded five birdies to bring her tournament total to eight which is tied for fifth. Gilrowski added three birdies of her own in the second round bringing her two-round total to four.

The next player in the standings for the Green Wave through 36 holes was Sophia Chen with a total score of 154 (+10 – 76, 78). She shot a 78 in her second round of action with one birdie on the day which dropped her into a tie for 65th overall in the tournament.

Sophia Macia was the next player to land on the leaderboard for Tulane in a tie for 83rd overall with a 36-hole score of 157 (+13 – 77, 80). She was followed by Cristiana Albertazzi who ended day two tied for 87th with a total score of 160 (+16 – 80, 80).

UP NEXT
The Green Wave will finish competition at the Paradise Invitational with the third and final round on Wednesday. Albertazzi will be the first to tee off for Tulane in the third round at 8:15 a.m. CT. Â
