Green Wave Track Field Heads to Windy City
Feb 5, 2026 | Track & Field
CHICAGO – After a weekend for the record book, the Tulane indoor track and field program looks to build on the momentum this weekend with the Badger Windy City Invitational in Chicago. Hosted by Wisconsin, the event starts tomorrow and concludes on Saturday at Gately Stadium.
Streaming for the event takes place on RunnerSpace, and live results can be found here.
Only three members of the men's team will be competing this weekend: Andrew Bamberg (200m & 400m), Lee Harris (60m & 200m), and Alexander Montoro (200m & 400m). It will be a deeper lineup for the women's side, as 10 total athletes are participating from the women's team. In the track events, it will be Bella Carroll (60m & 200m), Nahema Dumonteil Cabanas (200m & 400m), Marissa Gordon (200m & 400m), Elena Liano-Rengel (800m & mile), Jasper Newton (800m & mile), and Zaria Parker (60m & 200m). Four field athletes will compete: Alyssa Dismuke (shot put), Cara Salsberry (shot put & weight throw), Quin Tandeih (weight throw), and Presley Wolfe (pole vault & triple jump).
Last weekend, 10 Wave athletes etched their names into the program record book with top-10 markers in their respective events between the John Thomas Terrier Classic and the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. These accomplishments were highlighted by a pair of new program records as Blezzin Kimutai set a new mark in the women's 5,000 meters (16:00.94) with Bernard Cheruiyot besting the men's time for the 3,000 meters (7:49.26).
Tulane will split again next weekend as the program will make second appearances this season in each of Boston and Nashville. The Green Wave will compete in Boston's David Hemery Valentine Invitational alongside Vanderbilt's Music City Challenge with both meets taking place February 13 and 14.
