Tulane Moves to Sixth Through Two Rounds at Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational

HUMACAO, Puerto Rico – Tulane women's golf dropped one spot in the standings following the second round of play at the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational on Wednesday. The Green Wave carded a 304 (+16) as a team in round two with sophomore Francesca Pompa highlighting the day with a round two under par.

Pompa climbed six spots into a tie for third place on the leaderboard after shooting a 70 (-2) in her second round of action in the tournament. She recorded five birdies on Wednesday to bring her tournament total to nine which ranks tied for first in the field. Pompa has posted a 36-hole score of 145 (+1).

Gabriella Gilrowski moved into a tied for 22nd overall after shooting a 79 (+7) in her second round. Through two rounds of play Gilrowski has posted a total score of 153 (+9).

Up next on the leaderboard for Tulane was Cristina Albertazzi at the end of the second round on Wednesday. Albertazzi holds a tie for 34th overall with a 36-hole score of 156 (+12).

Rounding out the group for the Gren Wave was Sophia Chen and Tonka Zacharovska after two rounds of action. Chen is tied for 41st overall with a two-round score of 158 (+14). Following Chen was Zacharovska who sits 44th shooting a 36-hole score of 165 (+21)
